Jaguar Clubs Announce a New Top Cat

The Jaguar XK and Jaguar E-type clubs are celebrating a new arrival! Experienced classic car journalist and editor, Malcolm McKay has been appointed to the position of Editor for the clubs’ monthly magazines, The XK Gazette and The E-type.  

Malcolm’s impressive résumé includes working for Classic Cars magazine, first as Clubs’ Editor and then as Deputy Editor, plus a freelance role at Jaguar World.  Today, Malcolm regularly contributes to publications such as Octane, Telegraph Motoring, Classic & Sports Car and Motorbase.com. 

At the XK and E-type clubs, McKay will be joining a writing and editorial team that also boasts popular Jaguar author, Philip Porter, (who assumes the position of Editor-at-Large).  Talking about the appointment, Porter remarked that Malcolm’s, “vast knowledge of motoring journalism coupled with a personal enthusiasm for classic cars will be invaluable to the future development of the magazines,” adding that, “with Malcolm at the helm the publications are certain to go from strength to strength”.

As the official publications of the Jaguar XK Club and the Jaguar E-type Club, the XK Gazette and The E-type magazines offer the owners of classic XK 120s, 140s and 150s, and E-types respectively, something different to most classic car publications – complete dedication to a specific series of models.  This level of specialism ensures the reader is always presented with a wealth of high quality, pertinent information, whether technical, historical, biographical or social.
