Stirling Moss Scrapbook 1961 now available!
The ‘Stirling Moss Scrapbook 1961’ was launched at Goodwood in July and proved to be a real success. The scrapbook is the second in the series of books which has been co-written by Stirling Moss and Philip Porter. The book is a culmination of fascinating press cuttings, personal photographs and in-depth interviews which cover the highs and lows of Sir Stirlings remarkable career. Both of these scrapbooks appeal to everyone, not just the motor racing enthusiasts or even Stirling Moss fans, as the book offers a wonderfully nostalgic glimpse into Moss’s enviable 1960s lifestyle. The book has already had glowing reviews in various magazines including being book of the month for July in ‘Octane’ magazine and ‘Classic and Sports car.’
76 year old Stirling Moss took time between races to sign copies of the scrapbook which gave fans a chance to meet the hero of British motor racing. Stirling Moss was heard to have told a fan during his book signing “This book is different to the first book you know - there are different women in them and of course different cars also”.
We are delighted with the response with both books and the success of the first book - the ‘Stirling Moss Scrapbook 1955’ seems to be following on to this the second in the series of scrapbooks on Sir Stirling Moss. We’re looking forward to publishing the next in the series, at some point in the not too distant future. Philip is now also working on a book which will be covering the racing career of Graham Hill another huge racing super star from the Stirling Moss era. There has already been so much support from Graham’s friends and his family which includes Graham’s widow Bette Hill and their children – Brigitte, Samantha and Damon Hill who is in his own right a motor racing champion.
The Stirling Moss Scrapbook 1955 and 1961 are both priced at £34.95 and they are available to buy at our online shop. Limited-edition, leather-bound versions are also available, priced £75.
