A note from Club Founder, Philip Porter . . .

I have been a lifelong E-type enthusiast, I have written books about the E-type (Jaguar E-type: The Definitive History, The Most Famous Car in the World) and I also personally own two, 9600 HP, the oldest and most historic E-type and 848 CRY, which appeared in the cult movie The Italian Job.

I firmly believe that there is a place for a Club entirely dedicated to the Jaguar E-type. A good club can be of immense practical use, foster friendships and aid the exchange of ideas and technical information.

One of the primary benefits of E-type Club membership is subscription to The E-type, our professionally produced, colour, monthly magazine. As Editor, I contribute articles based on my own extensive collection of archive material, memorable interviews and historic photographs. We also have a team of international writers, who offer technical advice, histories, E-type automobilia, profiles, E-type news, restoration stories, rally reports and much more.

Club members are also invited to take part in an expanding worldwide programme of events, which include one day regional/country gatherings, weekends, tours, dinners, track days, rallies, etc. We have a growing band of E-type Club Representatives located in various countries across the globe who help organise regional events.

I hope that you find this site of interest and will consider joining other E-type enthusiasts in the E-type Club.
