Jaguar Lightweight E-type - The autobiography of 49 FXN

Jaguar Lightweight E-type - The autobiography of 49 FXN The life of a particularly active Jaguar Lightweight E-type is described in detail by marque experts Philip Porter and James Page, in the eight ‘Great Cars’ book from Porter Press International. Following an aerodynamic makeover by Dr Samir Klat of Imperial College, London, 49 FXN proved its potential by running third in the GT class at Le Mans in 1964 before a forced retirement. Drivers Peter Lumsden and Peter Sargent topped this with best-placed E-type in the Tourist Trophy at Goodwood, and the car has seldom been far from the front ever since.

John Egan - Saving Jaguar

John Egan - Saving Jaguar This book tells the story of how John Egan gradually overcame the odds and, piece by piece, rebuilt this great company, winning over the workforce, the overseas dealers and, most important of all, the customers. Working with Margaret Thatcher and her Government, Egan and his team of managers overcame every obstacle, every set-back, every challenge.

It is an amazing story that will appeal equally to car enthusiasts, those in business and readers interested in social history.
