We are proud to inform you that Ultimate E-type, by the E-type Club’s very own Philip Porter, has picked up another prestigious award. The British Sports Book Awards, at the Savoy Hotel in London in 2012, Ultimate E-type was chosen as Motorsport Book of the Year.

Chief judge, Richard Aucock, Chairman of the Guild of Motoring Writers states: Philip’s book was a clear winner. This is the first time the Guild has been involved with the British SportsBook Awardsand we are delighted the inaugural prize has gone to such an impressive title.

This is the book’s second major accolade as it was also voted International Historic Motoring Book of the Year. The Book Published to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the iconic Jaguar sports car, Ultimate E-type – The Competition Cars, is a heavyweight book on the rare Lightweight Es and early racers. It took a year to write and over 200 people were interviewed. Packed with illustrations from wonderful period photos to stunning studio shots, it is truly the ultimate book on the ultimate E-types.
